Description:
A late evening sun drops below the clouds to illuminate the bones of a 5000 year old stone cairn. It sits in the west of Ireland in the Burren highlands. Once a place of ritual and significance to the people living here. As time passed and memories faded, the smaller stones, which covered the cairn, were removed to build fences and dwellings. In recent memory the seeds of a tree took root in the rocky limestone. It, like the dolmen, is shaped by the winds of time. Poulnabrone portal dolmen is a place where the continuum of history collapse and overlap in a moment of time.
