Description:
Oh the wind can blow in the west of Ireland. In the area on the south side of Galway bay, any exposed tree is bent and sculpted by the winds that blow in from the Atlantic. They add a sense of tenacious endurance to a landscape rich in character and history. The lanes and paths here invite walking and contemplating. Close your eyes and smell the fresh ocean air while the breeze whispers in your ear and cools your cheeks warmed by the sun. Perhaps a cow or sheep in the distance call to each other. It is a quiet that isn’t quite quiet. A hushed place where thoughts wander far afield and return renewed.
