Description:
I have completed 2 head studies of Black Labrador dogs in an effort to study and push the use of dark in my pencil work. Trying to work at getting dark, without going too dark, or showing highlights on an otherwise black surface was, and is, challenging. Again, I like the use of pencil to get to a textural feel or quality of the animal. I'd like to feel I can reach in an scratch him behind the ear and feel the texture of his fur.
